Percussion at SOSU
Southeastern Oklahoma State University
The Percussion Program at SOSU is centered on and dedicated to training and developing professional educators and performers who are proficient on a wide variety of instruments, with a strong emphasis on pedagogy and musicianship. Students have the opportunity to learn and perform (through private instruction and ensemble participation) on the traditional Western instruments as well as instruments from other cultures and regions of the world.
"Global Rhythms CD"
We have completed the first ever SOSU Percussion Ensemble CD. The disk has been christened Global Rhythms and includes selections performed by the percussion ensemble and many of the SOSU ethnic ensembles. If you would like to purchase a copy, please email Dr. Marc M. White or call (580) 745-2014. The cost is $12 and all proceeds go towards updating percussion equipment and music at SOSU!
