Many people find, after a few years
of employment, that they have the occupational skills
needed for their current job, but lack the
professional background needed to provide the
foundation for occupational maturity, effective
communication skills required by employers, aesthetic
enrichment, and additional competencies needed to
strengthen their previous training for career
advancement. In some cases advancement from technician
to manager requires a bachelor's degree and academic
training. The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences
degree program can provide the avenue to career
advancement or a total change of career.
The Bachelor of Applied Arts and
Sciences degree is designed to offer students with an
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree or an Associate
of Applied Arts (AAA) degree from an accredited junior or
community college in the United States the opportunity to
obtain a baccalaureate degree. This program would allow
students who may have reached an educational and career
"glass ceiling" to continue their education and
advance their career by earning a baccalaureate degree.
