Frequently Asked Questions

Who can enroll in the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree program?

Students with an Associate of Applied Science or Associate of Applied Arts degree from an accredited community or junior college in the United States can enroll in the program.

How many hours are needed for a BAAS degree?

A minimum of 124 hours are need for the BAAS degree.

How many hours can be transferred from a community or junior college?

Up to 64 hours can be transferred.

How many upper-division hours (3000/4000 level) are required for the BAAS degree?

A minimum of 40 upper-division hours are required.

How many hours must be taken at Southeastern?

A minimum of 30 semester hours must be taken at Southeastern.

Can any courses for the BAAS program be taken over the internet?

Yes, all of the required general education courses will be offered over the Internet in a two year cycle. Many of the Professional Development Component courses (see Curriculum) can also be taken over the Internet
