It is my distinct pleasure to serve as the Chair for this department which merges the former departments of Visual Art , Graphic Design, and Music. John Holt / Sophie Grech, trumpet and mezzo-soprano

John HoltJohn Holt was appointed Assistant Professor of Trumpet at the University of North Texas in 2003. The consummate musical artist, John Holt, has appeared as a soloist with orchestras throughout the United States and Europe.Sophie Grech

Internationally acclaimed mezzo soprano Sophia Grech made her debut recital in London in 1995 at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London, singing Canteloube's Songs of the Auvergne, and shortly after at the Purcell Room, South Bank, the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Sophia graduated from the Royal College of Music in London also in '95 and is enjoying a very busy career.

The Adaskin String Trio has an ongoing and very exciting collaboration with oboist Tom Gallant. Oboist Tom Gallant, co-founder of the Raritan River Music Festival in 1990, won First Prize in the Concert Artists Guild International competition.
