HOW TO BECOME A LIFEGUARD* This advanced lifesaving course is required for anyone who plans to apply for a position as a lifeguard at a public pool, private club, or camp. All students must be 15 years of age or older, in good physical health, able to swim 500 yards, tread water for two minutes. CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Automated External Defibrillator and Oxygen Administration are included in the Lifeguard Program. You can become a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard. Pretest required first night; be prepared to swim. Texts and materials are included with course fee. WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION* Upon successful completion of this class you will have the certification necessary to teach ARC Learn to Swim programs. Individuals must be 17 years or older.
