Idabel - Kids at College:
Butterflies and Other Winged Wonders Students age 4 by December 08 - entering 1st grade are welcome to enroll in this program. Students will be hearing stories from children’s author, Eric Carle. Through story telling, and hands-on activities, art, and songs, children will be introduced to butterflies, lady bugs and other winged wonders from our environment. Children who will be four by December 08 are encouraged to register for this program. Idabel - Kids at College: Exploration
Students entering the 2nd - 6th grades are welcome to enroll in this program of exploration.
This is an opportunity for children to use their imagination and go back in time to a different era. Clothing, food, culture, tools, and environment will be studied with hands-on learning opportunities in this unique opportunity.
3 Strikes rules apply. If the participant is sent home due to poor behavior, no refunds will be given.
Class size is limited, so register today.

Idabel - Kids at College: Reader's Theater Students entering the 2nd - 6th grades or state tests indicate the student is reading on this grade level should attend. Does your child enjoy being creative? Does your child need more opportunities to continue to enhance his/her reading skills. Children who have learned how to read have the opportunity to learn expression and be creative while reading during the Reader’s Theatre. Each day, children will read and practice their story(s) and create a set, props, and/or character/puppets to have at least one complete Reader’s Theatre play by the end of the week. Children will have the opportunity to presenting either a fable/folklore or a fairy tale. Participants are encouraged to enroll in early with limited seating available. Register your child for this course if they need more reading practice or have above average reading abilities. Parents, family members and friends will want to attend the Reader's Theatre presentation held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. 3 Strikes rules apply. Idabel - Kids at College: Spheres of Science Students entering the 3rd - 5th grade in Fall 08 will want to enroll early for this fun-filled, exciting scientific camp. Register your child today for this interactive, hands-on scientific program. In addition to the classroom and computer lab work, students will be gathering data outdoors. Your child will be a scientist by contributing data to the collection that scientists use to study the earth’s atmosphere (clouds, weather, forecasting and hurricanes). Students will be learning about the geosphere including rocks, soils, earthquakes and more. Additionally, participants will study the hydrosphere (water quality and the cryosphere…glaciers). . And, finally, students will be learning about DNA, micro life, and taxonomies of the biosphere. |

Participants will want to bring change sunshades, hats, bug spray, and sunscreen to the fun-filled, exciting scientific camp. There is a break mid-morning; students may want to bring coins for the vending machines.
