Senior Capstone
Timelines & Weekly Schedule

Semester before Capstone

Confer with department chair & be assigned a Capstone Coordinator.  Officially enroll in ENG 4990.

Capstone Semester

Week 1      

Initial conference with Coordinator.  Student & Coordinator agree to specific topic, project format, grading procedure, & Presentation format. 

The Coordinator will complete a Capstone Agreement to be signed by the Coordinator & student. 

A copy of the Agreement will be forwarded to the department chair.

Weeks 2-3

Discuss & finalize project purpose, structure, & begin accumulation of project materials. 

Weeks 4-7

Further discussion & completion of first draft or form of project.

Week 8

First draft of project due to Coordinator.

Weeks 9-12

Further discussion & revision of project.

Week 13

Second draft of project due to Coordinator. 

Coordinator suggests final revisions & returns to student.

Week 14

Final version of completed project due. 

Weeks 15-16

Project Presentation to students & faculty. 

Submit final version of project electronically to chair. 

Get ready to Graduate !
