The faculty and staff of the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation are always ready to serve you, the student, our number one priority.
Two Degree Programs
HPER offers 2 degrees. The degree in Health & Physical Education enables you to teach physical education & health & to coach athletic teams from grades Kindergarten—12.
The degree in Recreation prepares you for a career in a park and recreation agency, a YMCA/YWCA, a Boys/Girls Club, etc…

Some of our student–majors have the opportunity to gain valuable experience while serving as student assistants in various areas of the program.
