Tenure Track Assistant Professor Position in Elementary Education

The Southeastern Oklahoma State University Department of Educational Instruction and Leadership invites applications for tenure track assistant professor in Elementary Education and with expertise in at least one of the following: Reading, Classroom Behavioral Management, or Special Education. Candidates are expected to have an earned related doctorate and are also expected to have significant teaching experience in a public school classroom setting. Teaching and advising responsibilities are at the undergraduate level. Supervision of student teachers and first year teachers is expected on a limited basis. Tenure track faculty are expected to develop and maintain an active research program in their field of specialty.
Formed in 1909, Southeastern Oklahoma State University enrolls approximately 4,200 students in 44 undergraduate and 7 graduate degree programs. Both the undergraduate and graduate programs in Elementary Education are among the largest on campus. The campus is located in Durant, Oklahoma, 80 miles north of Dallas, Texas and 150 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position will begin in January or August 2008.
