Guidance Specialist - Educational Opportunity Center

Guidance Specialist: Twelve month, federal TRIO grant supported position serving EOC participants from the Grayson County office. Salary is commensurate with education, training, and experience. Qualifications: Master's degree or pursuant in counseling or closely related area preferred, minimal educational requirement of a Bachelor's degree in related field; strong oral and written communication skills; must be computer literate; must be eligible to work in the U.S. Proficiency in Spanish preferred. The successful candidate must establish and maintain positive relationships with adults from diverse cultural backgrounds, service agencies and educational institutions in the area, must motivate adults to pursue higher education and provide them with appropriate career and educational information and assistance with the application process for admission, re-admission, graduation equivalency, and financial aid.
