Research and Sponsored Programs Manager

Position provides expertise on state and federal policy that governs programs funded by external sources. The position coordinates the financial activities with individual program directors, University’s Finance Office staff and external funding agencies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Monitor state and federal policy changes to interpret operational impact and recommend procedural change as needed. Review all external grant proposals for accuracy based on governing agency policies and University policies. Coordinate efforts for submission of grant to governing agency. Review budgets on all grant proposals ensuring University policy is being followed. Prepare all financial reports and assist with the annual A-133 Audit. Maintain grant database and coordinate efforts to process: draw downs, indirect cost, employment transaction forms, invoices, and travel claim forms. Education Required: Bachelor degree in Business or related years of experience. Proficiency in computer skills – Excel, Word, and Internet. Experience and knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, data management, financial reporting and experienced with the education budgeting process preferred. Must be able to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work without direct supervision. Service and detailed oriented, organized, multi-tasker, flexible problem solver, open to new technologies and solutions, good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Must be eligible to work in the United States. Salary commensurate with qualifications.
