Jessica Mitchell
I decided to come to SOSU because it is known as a teaching school, which is my major (Math Education), it was close to home and it is inexpensive compared to other colleges.

What I like about SOSU is it is small with small classes and student – faculty ratio is really good (19/1).

I think that SOSU is special because it is small and offers a good education. I also think that the instructors go out of their way to help their students any way they can.

I stay busy being involved with Residence Hall Association (RHA), Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) and the Honor’s Program.

Me special interest and hobbies are hanging out with friends, going to church, listening to music and watching movies.

I live on campus and think it’s great – it is a great place to meet new people and it is easy to get involved if you live on campus.

My advice to incoming freshmen would be “Don’t judge the size because being a small school, it has great opportunities”.
