Adult First-Term Freshman Admission
Requirements
You are considered a adult first-term
freshman if you...
- have never attended college elsewhere
(except as a high school concurrent
student).
- are 21 years old or older.
Then to be admitted, you must...
- have taken the ACT, SAT, or an
SOSU
College Placement Test
Also, it is helpful if you meet the
following high school curricular requirements.
If you don't meet these requirements,
you are still admissible but may have
to take
College Placement Tests and/or
remedial courses in the areas that you
are deficient.
- 4 years of English (or an ACT English
of 19 or an SAT Verbal of 460)
- 3 years of Math (or an ACT Math
of 19 or an SAT Math of 460)
- 3 years of History and Citizenship
skills (or an ACT Reading of 19 or an
SAT Verbal of 460)
- 2 years of Lab Science (or an ACT
Science of 19)
- 3 additional years or units of foreign
language, computer science, or any of
the above listed subjects.
