MacEntire graduated in May of 2004
with a bachelor degree in
Communications with a journalism
emphasis and a theatre minor. While
attending at Southeastern, she worked
at the school paper, The Southeastern,
and was also editor of the Yeardisc,
The Savage. She played intramural
basketball at SOSU for JT’s Honeys,
participated in FCA, and ran as
homecoming queen candidate.
Her honors include: President’s and
Dean’s Honor Roll, Honor’s Program
Graduate (Parson’s Scholar-4 years),
The Southeastern Service Award
(2001-2004), Top Communication Theory
Paper (2002), The Spirit of
Southeastern Award. Academic
memberships are academic honor society
Alpha Chi, and communication honor
society Lamda Pi Eta.
Amber says that one of her favorite
things about Southeastern is the
atmosphere. It’s so easy to get to
know people and get involved on the
campus. Enthusiastic about her new
position, she says, “I’ve enjoyed my
time here so much as a student, I
can’t wait to experience it as a staff
member!”
