Blankenship was a

Arts degree in
interpersonal/organizational
communication and a minor in leadership.
During his tenure as a student at
Southeastern he was involved as a

computer technician for academic
computing and webmaster at the placement
office. He also served as assistant

city of Durant.
One organization
that Marlin held membership at was Chi
Alpha, a religious organization. After
graduation, he continued a career with
the emergency management office as well
as beginning a position as youth
director for his local church. In more
recent history, he has ebbed away from
working with the youth group to
assisting with the younger kids. Also
upon graduating, his previous training
as an Emergency Medical Technician
helped him to be awarded with an
accommodation for assisting a man in
jeopardy. Marlin is skilled in many
areas and is ready to try his talents as
an admissions counselor.
Two of Marlin’s favorite things about
the university are its friendliness and
its vision to be a progressive
university. “I’m amazed at the many
steps this university is taking to
constantly find ways to improve itself.
It’s a great university and I’m glad to
get the opportunity to build my
education and career here.”
