Homecoming 2005 Activities Set At Southeastern

A Solid Gold and Blue Homecoming is loaded with something for everybody this year at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
The long weekend begins Wednesday, September 28, and concludes Saturday, October 1, with the Gold and Blue and Black Tie Too! dinner dance at Bella Vista on the Boulevard.
The celebration includes a student homecoming dance, the popular Whang Bang Golf Tournament, a barbeque, bonfire and pep rally, breakfast for former athletes, a lawn parade, various school receptions, lunch on the lawn, a young alum event, the Tom Houston Debate Debate Reunion, and a homecoming luncheon.
The 2005 Distinguished Honorees (Distinguished Alumni, Distinguished Former Faculty, and the Benefactor of the Year) will be presented at the Homecoming Awards Luncheon, 11:15 a.m., in the Student Union Ballroom.
Something new has been added this year with the first Southeastern softball Alumni Game, scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday. Several former players are on the roster with a possibility of more yet to register.
The centerpiece will feature Southeastern and Abilene Christian University in a Lone Star Conference football shootout starting at 2:30 p.m. on the newly–renovated Paul Laird Field.
