SOSU Commencement—December 16

The Honorable Mike Morgan, President Pro Tempore of the Oklahoma State Senate, will be the guest speaker for Fall Commencement at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Commencement will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16, in the Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium. Since seating is limited in the gymnasium, there will be two ceremonies by degrees:

10:00–11:00 a.m.
  • School of Education and Behavioral Sciences
  • Master of Behavioral Studies
  • Master of Education
1:00–2:00 p.m.
  • School of Arts and Sciences
  • John Massey School of Business
  • Master of Business Administration
  • Master of Science
  • Master of Technology

A reception honoring all of the graduates and their families will be held in the Visual and Performing Arts Center from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Sen. Morgan was re-elected to his third term in the Oklahoma State Senate in November, 2004. He served as Senate Appropriations Chair before being elected Senate President Pro Tempore in March, 2005.

Prior to his service in the legislature, Sen. Morgan was Municipal Judge for the City of Stillwater, serving in that position for 12 years. He has also been an adjunct professor of business law at Oklahoma State University.

Sen. Morgan has an active law practice in his hometown of Stillwater. He conducts a general civil practice specializing in commercial transactions and real property.

A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sen. Morgan earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa.
