Eddie Harbin named Director of SOSU Physical Plant

Eddie Harbin has been named director of the Physical Plant at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Harbin, a 21-year employee of SOSU, has served as interim director since January 2006. Previously, he served as assistant director of the physical plant.

His responsibilities include overseeing the areas of maintenance, new construction and renovation, custodians, landscaping, and special events preparation.

“Eddie Harbin has served the University well,” said Southeastern President Dr. Glen D. Johnson. “His expertise and experience are invaluable. We look forward to his leadership and direction as we continue to move forward with our $63 million building and renovation programs at the University.”

Harbin, a native of Atoka County, holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Southeastern.

“I look forward to the challenges of this position,” Harbin said. “I am fortunate to have an outstanding staff to work with. We are also grateful for the cooperation that we receive from our faculty, staff, and students. It’s a total team effort.”
