The Southeastern Oklahoma State University Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Stacy Weger, will perform at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Recital Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

The program will include a variety of music from Renaissance motets to contemporary works and from spirituals to Japanese vocal jazz. There is something that should appeal to everyone.

Dr. Robert McFadden serves as accompanist for the Chorale.

In recognition of continued excellence in choral singing, the Southeastern Chorale has been selected this year to appear as featured performer at the Oklahoma Music Educators Association annual convention on January 18, 2007, in Tulsa.

This is the first time in 25 years that a choral group from SOSU has been selected for this honor.

Additionally, this ensemble will take part in the Conspirare/NEA American Music Festival, “Crossing the Divide: Exploring Influence and Finding our Voice,” to be held in Austin, Texas, later in January.
