Southeastern Symphonic Band to Present Concert

DURANT, Okla. - The Southeastern Oklahoma State University Symphonic Band will present its first concert of the season on Tuesday, March 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Montgomery Auditorium.
Under the direction of David Christy, Director of Bands, the Symphonic Band will perform "Battle Royal March," by Fred Jewell; "Overture to 'Candide,'" by Leonard Bernstein; the third movement from Frank Ticheli's "Symphony No. 2"; David Gillingham's arrangement of "Be Thou My Vision", "American Riversongs", by Pierre LaPlante; and "Festive Overture" by Dmitri Shostakovich, transcribed by David Hunsberger.
The Southeastern Oklahoma State University Symphonic Band is a 45-member select ensemble and is comprised of University students including both music majors and non-majors.
There will be no admission charge for the concert.
