Love County
Love County is a great place to live, whether you're young, in your prime working years, or retired! Our rolling hills and lush pastures greet you as soon as you cross the Red River on Interstate 35 into Oklahoma; or, if you prefer, we're your last view of the sooner state before you roll into Texas. Love County is 65 miles north of Dallas–Fort Worth and 95 miles south of Oklahoma City — a delightful rural area with easy access to the entertainment and cultural benefits of three major cities. Marietta, the county seat located on I–35 (Exit 15) and state highway 32 at about the midpoint of the county, has a population of 2,500 (The County’s total population is 8,600). Marietta is a major service point for traffic along I–35, which is one of only three interstate highways providing direct cross country access from Mexico to Canada.
