Spring 2008 Commencement
The following is information regarding participation in the Fall 2008 Commencement ceremony.
Rehearsal
Commencement Rehearsal will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2008. Rehearsal will be held in the Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.
Ceremony
Commencement will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008. The time and location will depend upon the weather:
Good Weather Plan
Commencement will be held in one ceremony at 10:00 a.m. on Paul Laird Field. To prevent damage to the field surface, we encourage students and their family/friends to refrain from wearing high heels (especially spike heels) and using gum and tobacco products while on the field.
Bad Weather Plan
In the event of inclement weather, commencement will be held in the Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium. Since seating is limited in the gymnasium, there will be two ceremonies by degrees:
- 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
- School of Education and Behavioral Science
- John Massey School of Business
- Master of Behavioral Studies
- Master of Business Administration
- Master of Education
- 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
- School of Arts and Sciences
- Master of Science
- Master of Technology
In case of bad weather, the decision concerning the location for commencement will be made by noon on Friday, May 9th, and aired over the local radio station and television stations, or you may call the Student Activity Line at 580–745–2888 or the Inclement Weather Line at 580–745–7272.
