Additional requirements depend on the nursing program chosen. Southeastern is now collaborating with East Central University for a nursing program. A student can take the general education courses and prerequisite courses for the ECU nursing program at Southeastern. The student can apply to the ECU nursing program at Southeastern and if accepted can continue taking the ECU nursing courses at Southeastern. Upon completion of the program, the student will earn a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) from East Central University. The prerequisite courses are:
A student will also need to take courses to fulfill the general education requirements for Southeastern. After a student has taken at least 24 hours of the prerequisite courses, he or she would apply in the fall semester (September) to be accepted into the nursing program beginning in the spring semester.
