GRADUATE COUNCIL MEETING

January 17, 2001



(A meeting could not be scheduled to discuss the items listed below, so an email was submitted to each member of the council, and seven of thirteen of the council members responded with the following decisions.)

The first item of discussion was a nomination to regular graduate faculty for Tim Patton. A unanimous vote was given to approve Dr. Patton for regular graduate faculty beginning the Spring 2001 semester.

The next item was a graduate appeal by *******, who was requesting provisional admission to graduate school since she did not meet the GPA requirement. A vote passed denying her admission to graduate school by a vote of 5 to 2.

The final item of discussion was a review of the minutes from the previous meeting. A vote passed to approve the minutes with two council members abstaining because they were not at the last meeting.
